SHARISH ORIGINAL

This gin is distilled in a traditional Portuguese copper still and has nine carefully selected botanicals involved in its preparation: juniper, cinnamon, coriander seeds, cloves, vanilla, orange peel, lemon peel, Bravo de Esmolfe DOP apple and lemon beebrush – the last four of these being used fresh. Due to the different characteristics and evaporation temperatures of the botanicals, these undergo separate slow distillation, giving a better quality end result. Sharish Gin is a smooth drink with a unique aroma, where the predominant flavours are citrus (from the orange peel), the subtle sweetness of the Bravo de Esmolfe apple and vanilla, together with the identifiable juniper. The most subtle touches of this gin come from the cloves and coriander seeds, with the light spiciness of the lemon beebrush revealing itself at the finish.

SHARISH BLUE MAGIC

Gin Sharish has its origins in surprising new discoveries by António Cuco, which is exemplified in the Blue Magic edition. Its botanicals include strawberries, fresh raspberries, cinnamon, cardamom, lemon, angelica root, ginger, liquorice, coriander seed and, of course, juniper. The star of this Gin is a flower named Clitoria Ternatea, which gives the Gin a blue tone without using artificial colourings. According to the producer, this Gin has a “magic touch”, because when tonic water is added the blue transforms into light pink on mixing.

SHARISH LAURINIUS

Limited Edition of 3883 bottles, aged for one year in Lourinhã brandy barrels, one of only three regions demarcated for brandy in the world (alongside Cognac and Armagnac). The idea for this edition came from a visit by the managers of the brandy distillery Aguardente Louriana XO, Paulo Marcelino and João Brito, to the Sharish Gin Distillery. António Cuco immediately accepted the idea and it was agreed to produce a version of Sharish Gin Original, where the Bravo de Esmolfe Apple is replaced by Rocha Pears from the Oeste region and an extra botanical is added – the Loureiro leaf – in homage to Lourinhã. Botanicals: juniper, lemon beebrush, orange peel, Alentejo lemon peel, coriander seeds, cloves, vanilla, cinnamon, Rocha Pears from the Oeste region and Loureiro leaf.

GIN 13

A Gin with a youthful aspect, with light notes of hops, but with a final fresh, citrus taste. It has been named Gin 13 – the lucky number of ingredients. The design of the bottle also communicates the symbolism associated with luck, with a black cat, clover and skulls. The 13th ingredient in this Gin is hops, which is used in craft beers. Gin 13 is the first Portuguese rotation gin, with 13 botanicals: juniper, coriander seed, lemon, tangerine, cardamom, ginger, almond, angelica root, liquorice, lemon grass, jasmine flower, black tea and hops. Distilled in traditional Portuguese stills: alcohol from cereal mash is distilled on a naked flame four times, then distilled again with all of the botanicals within the still, except for the lemon and lemon grass, which are added in the botanical basket.
